First Communion instruction is offered to those children when, in conversation with the pastor, a family feels their child is able to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.  This instruction, held on a Saturday morning, offers learning as to the meaning of sin, forgiveness, joy and celebration, the Passover, and church family.
