Pastor John Smaligo (Pastor John) was raised in Irwin and is a graduate of Norwin High School.  He graduated from Seton Hill University/St. Vincent College with a BS Degree in Music Education, and from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.  His Clinical Pastoral Education work was at the Children?s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and he served his internship in Rochester, NY.  He has served churches in Pennsylvania and Maryland.  He became Senior Pastor of Harrold Zion in October of 2008.  He married the former Mary Marolt in 1980, and they are the parents of three children - John, Andy, and Beth.
